Most of these are filed by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.). That is the legal entity NHTSA holds responsible. It is not always the name on the badge.
A big number here is not a verdict on the brand. Recalls track how many cars a maker sells and how many different models it builds. A maker with twenty models will out-recall one with four.
