- What was recalled
- This recall involves the Glion SmartScooter Model 100. The foldable electric scooters are aluminum and come in black or white. The scooters are powered by lithium-ion batteries and have a kickstand, two tires and a USB phone charger. "GLION" is printed on the standing board of the scooter. The scooters measure about 38 inches long and 5.5 inches wide and 45 inches tall when unfolded.
- The hazard
- The frame of the scooter can break where the unit folds, posing a fall hazard.
- Injuries
- The firm has received three reports of the scooter's frame breaking, including one hip and elbow abrasion injury.
- The remedy
- Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled electric scooters and contact Probity Cell for a free repair or a store credit toward the purchase of another product.
