- This recall involves Stanley's commercial cylindrical series BMHA/ANSI Grade 1 heavy duty locksets with dead-latch components. The recalled locksets have brass, bronze, nickel, chrome or satin chrome finish. - The hazard
- The latches can fail and the door cannot be unlocked from the inside, posing an entrapment risk. This failure could lead to the inability to vacate a location in an emergency.
- Injuries
- The firm has received four reports of the latches failing. No injuries have been reported.
- The remedy
- Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled locksets. For Stanley Commercial Hardware-branded locksets, consumers should contact Stanley Commercial Hardware and for all other brands, consumers should contact Stanley Security Solutions Taiwan to receive a free replacement latch or to schedule an appointment to have the latches replaced free of charge if the lockset is already installed.

A refund, a repair or a replacement. The notice says which. It costs you
nothing and there is usually no receipt requirement.
Stop using the product first. Recalls do not expire. An old one still counts.
